Was this the dress you initially thought you’d wear for your wedding?Having two older sisters, I experienced the wedding gown shopping several times before my own. Having this experience, helped me realize what styles I leaned towards. With that being said, I went in with an open mind and tried on all styles but ended up with what I had imagined from the start.
Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
I have always dreamt of having a lace wedding gown. Finding the all lace Liancarlo gown, I knew it was the one for me. Having a vision in mind, we ordered extra lace that matched the gown to have a custom bolero made to finish off the look. Knowing exactly what I wanted the bolero , Mrs. Peggy Esposito owner of Sew Sweet Alterations created the custom piece!
How do you feel when you put on your dress?
My dress makes me feel like a bride: grateful, ready, and confident. The best thing about it is that when I put it on, I feel like myself.
Why did you choose this particular bridal session location?
Windrush Gardens is a beautiful area that embodies the beautiful and lush greens that Louisiana has to offer. But Windrush Gardens is more to me than just the greens. During her later years, my grandmother volunteered as a tour guide for the Burden which surrounds the gardens. Having her there with me in spirit and knowing the significance of the Gardens to her, made this location extra special for me.
The second location, my sweet granddad’s home, is a place that will forever be near and dear to my heart. My granddad passed away this fall, so having this time to take pictures that will last a lifetime there was very important to me. As a child, we grew up experiencing many holidays and weekends at this special place.
Any advice for future brides embarking on this wedding journey?
