Sometimes, things will happen and I realize that wow…we really are growing up. For instance, I’m turning 26 tomorrow. Which means that this is officially the first of many, boring birthdays. You know..the birthdays without the ability to now gamble, or have the first legal drink or even rent a hotel. Anyway, I digress.
Seeing Katelyn in her wedding gown was one of those moments that I was truly taken aback for so many reasons. The first, being that she looked absolutely stunning. The second being that I realized it’s been 8 years since we graduated high school. And now, one of my very best friends from that time of my life…has found the man of her dreams and is now…Mrs. Landreneau.
I have so many wonderful memories of Katelyn and I growing up…silly memories and happy memories that I will always treasure. And Mrs. Susan (her mom) was right there for so many of those memories…putting up with the two of US! lol…
Mrs. Susan was also there for Katelyn’s bridals and it was just like old times. We laughed, we cut up…and I had the opportunity to take beautiful pictures of Katelyn being fabulous (as always). Katelyn is always put together, hair done and makeup fixed…so the gorgeousness that you’re seeing here…is a daily occurence for this girl. ;)
I always admired Katelyn’s ability to have fun no matter what the circumstances and I really enjoyed shooting her bridal session. The shoot was held at Greenwood Plantation in St. Francisville. Its old plantation style backdrop and beautiful oak landscape provided the perfect backdrop for her shoot! :)
Katelyn, this photo is one of so many that we’ve taken throughout our lives together. And who can only image what our lives will look like in the next 8 years from NOW! I am just so thankful to have been a part of this time in your life….as your friend and your photographer. Thank you for choosing me to be the one to document your engagements, your bridals, and this past Saturday, your wedding.
I’m looking forward to posting your wedding images soon. I hope you and Billy are having a blast on your honeymoon.
