Christmas Day last year was special not only because Lindsay + Monique celebrated the birth of Jesus, but also because they celebrated the start of their time as a newly engaged couple.
Lindsay held onto Monique’s ring for some time before the opportunity arose for him to propose, and due to unforeseen circumstances he held out for the moment that felt right.
On Christmas Day, Monique + Lindsay exchanged gifts. After Monique unwrapped her last gift from Lindsay she couldn’t help but feel a slight bit of disappointment in that her gifts didn’t consist of that symbol defining eternity for them.
But her feelings of sadness didn’t last long because Lindsay reminded her that she hadn’t emptied her stocking. I suppose “empty” is the best choice of words because that’s exactly what her stocking was.
As she turned around, confused, she found Lindsay down on one knee asking her to be his wife. Monique was SO incredibly excited and has since been planning their soon to be wedding day!
I had the wonderful honor of photographing Monique + Lindsay’s engagement session at Acadian Village in Lafayette. After a rainy morny, the sun came out and created the most wonderful day!
I’m so excited to be working with these two special souls, and I am looking forward to sharing in and documenting their wedding day!
LL Cool J! Congrats!
