Was this the dress you initially thought you’d wear for your wedding?
Not at all. I was searching for a long sleeve full lace v neck fitted dress. Then I saw that one hanging up and stopped mid-sentence. They told me I would either love it or hate it since it wasn’t what I had in mind, so they put it on me first. And it was the one! 

Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
I love silk. When I saw the dress it just looked so timeless and elegant. I really didn’t want anything trendy. And I figured if I ever have a daughter..if she can fit into it, it could be made into something incredible as an heirloom.

How do you feel when you put on your dress?
Honestly, short of breath. But like a real bride.

Why did you choose this particular bridal session location?
I like tradition. Jeff’s sisters took their bridals there. And when his mom offered, I jumped. It is a gorgeous home, and I just love it.

Any advice for future brides embarking on this wedding journey?
I would say to start dress shopping right away. I was almost “late.” And start at a place like Sposa Bella, with fewer, better options that you can actually go and look at to decide what your real style is. Because I started at another popular store. The associate didn’t go off of any of the pictures I showed her and kept bringing me off the wall options. I left feeling deflated. Then I walked into the complete opposite environment, and I picked my dress off of the rack. It was a wonderful experience. I only brought a trusted panel of advisors who were only supportive. You’ll have mountains to stress about, so try to make the first hurdle a little shorter
