It was 1999 and both Lauren + Linc were attending McNeese State. In the city of Lake Charles, LA they were friends and even spent some time together in tutoring. They even spent one year in a long distance relationship. But the part that I find most inspiration, most sweet, and special is what happened after that.
You see, I believe in love. TRUE love. The kind that…no matter where you are, or what you’re doing in life, still exists. Well, in the four years after they broke up, they proved that true love exists: They never stopped thinking of each other and in September 2010, they saw each other for the first time in almost 5 years. It was the last day they spent apart since. They are best friends and have been SO excited to marry one another.
Lauren + Linc…wow, where do I begin? When Amelia and I arrived to shoot your wedding we had no idea you two would be so INCREDIBLY kind, considerate, and SO in L.O.V.E. Your wedding was exactly what you wanted it to be: Simple, Fun, & Classic. I hope you forever enjoy reminiscing on this day…a day filled with lots of close friends, good family…and happiness.
I truly wish you two the best on your journey together in life. You are so special individually and will be amazing TOGETHER.
We started the day at the Carriage house hotel, where I was able to grab some shots of Lauren’s fabulous details.
I adore their beautiful rings!
Lauren, you are gorgeous!
While I was with Lauren, Amelia was with Linc capturing the men’s prep. While this may just look like scribbles on the inside of a boot,
these boots are not only EXTREMELY important to Linc, they’re the way he remembers things!
If he has something he wants to remember, he writes it in his boot. I love this.
During the reception, Lauren’s sister (MOH) and Linc’s cousin (BM) read their speeches. I thought they were both really heartfelt and sincere…and you can tell from the shot below, a lot of thought went into them.
Amelia grabbed this shot of Linc looking at the rings. Linc, you’re so sweet.
….Oh Ms. Jamie, you make me smile!
There were lots of emotional moments throughout the day….happy emotional moments.
Lauren + Linc opted to do a shot together before the wedding….without seeing each other.
Lovely Ladies!!!
…and a studly group of men!
These are potentially my favorite bridal party pics to this date! 🙂
I love Linc’s expression when he first saw Lauren.
It was truly such a beautiful day for the wedding!
Mr. and Mrs. Linc LeCompte
Just after the ceremony, we spent time photographing around the courtyard! This time is SO important on the wedding day to get fabulous images of just the bride and groom.
I’m so happy that Lauren + Linc were excited to do this short session with Amelia and I.
🙂 🙂 🙂
Amelia + I are both SO in love with the simplicity and character of her cake.
And as you can see, the toasts went over EXTREMELY well.
Congratulations you two! And thank you SO much for hiring us to document your day.
Catherine, You blow me away every time, I LOVE every shot!
Lauren and Linc- Congratulations! You were beautiful on your wedding day! It was a pleasure working with you the time that we did have. I wish you all the best!
Oh Catherine….you captured all the love, joy, and fun of the day perfectly!!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful gift with my family!!! If you and Amelia had stuck around for a little while longer, I would have just adopted yall! Again…thank you. God bless…
Lucky, for you Ms. Jamie, we’re up for adoption! I must warn you, we can be a hand full!
Lauren and Linc are so awesome, and I’m ecstatic we were there for such an amazing day!
Amelia, speak for yourself. 😉 I’m an ANGEL!!!!!
These photos are incredible and a beautiful reflection of a day that is so special to all of us. So artistic too!
Awww…they came out perfectly! JNH that shot of you is PRICELESS!
Hi Catherine. Thank you for the beautiful pictures. I relived that day as I looked at them and remembered what a lovely, loving day it was. The pictures will be treasured by all of the family and friends. You captured the day so beautifully. Thank you.
I’ve tried to figure out the appropriate way to express how awesome you guys are but I’m really at a loss. I’ve officially looked at this pics more than 100 times and I love them more and more each time. Thank you so so so so so much!
