What three adjectives best describe your wedding?
Intimate, FUN, and Sweet
Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
My parents started developing River Ranch when I was five years old, so I grew up with the neighborhood. Degaulle Square represents so much more than just a venue to me…it’s the center of my home!
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
I get super excited about buying gifts for other people, much more so than when I buy something for myself, so I’d have to say the watch I bought Charlie as a wedding gift was my favorite purchase! Holding onto it for four months was the hardest thing ever…and I still gave it to him two weeks early! Close enough, right?
What is your favorite wedding memory?
I’d have to say there were two. Charlie and I’s wedding vows were my favorite part of the ceremony. My nephew, Graham Hanby, won everything about the reception. I mean, did you see that kid’s dance moves?!
Did you create any details yourself? How did you incorporate your personalities into the wedding?
I would love to be the bride who says they created every little detail themselves. But, who am I kidding? Crafts are not my thing. Although, I did write on the bar chalkboards, but I don’t know if that counts! Charlie and I really wanted a low-key, fun, and intimate atmosphere, so there wasn’t a lot of fuss in the decorations. I let the candles and flowers pretty much speak for themselves (I’m still obsessing about my flowers). I wanted the night to be about our love and our families and for everyone to have fun and by the amount of “this is the best wedding I/we have ever been to” comments that I’m still getting from our guests, I’d say we did a pretty good job (although I am a little biased)!
What is your wedding song?
