Holly + Neil first met at a house party. And then again and again. Over the years, they would run into each other at events and through mutual friends but the timing was never right. Until it was. 🙂
According to Holly, Neil is a laid back, compassionate kind man that she’s fallen madly in love with. Together they’re “nerds” who love video and board games, comics, and fantasy book. Fall is their favorite time of year…and there’s over one foot of height difference between these two love birds. Holly + Neil truly embrace who they are and together they’re perfect.
This idea kind of reminds me of my all-time favorite quote on love:
“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird,
And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it LOVE.”
Since they got engaged, they’ve been planning a wedding that reflects who they are. There was a costume party the night before the wedding; and on the tables were books and repurposed dictionary sheets. Neil’s cake was designed to look like board games with dice and cards…even the wedding cake was covered with sci-fi, classic and fantasy quotes! The cake topper was steampunk robots and their invitations were inspired by The Princess Bride.
Their wedding was anything but “cookie cutter.” OH! And speaking of sweets…rather than a unity candle they created a unity smore. 😉 I SERIOUSLY love these two.
It’s been such a pleasure working with Holly + Neil and I’m super excited to share their wedding:
