Was this the dress you initially thought you’d wear for your wedding?
No, I’ve always known that I wanted lace, but recently after getting engaged I thought about wanting lace and satin- so the dress I found was exactly what I had envisioned!
Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
I went in thinking I wanted “something with lace and satin on the bottom,” and that’s exactly what I got! I love the simplicity of my dress and feel as though it is exactly my style- traditional, modest, and classy all in one!
How do you feel when you put on your dress?
My dress was the third I had tried on. As soon as I put it on, I couldn’t wipe the smile from my face. I did a little dance in it, and at that point knew it was the one! I didn’t (and still don’t) want to take it off! Once in my dress, I feel like a real life bride!
Why did you choose this particular bridal session location?
Forrest had visited Houmas House several times while working near there one summer, and he always told me how beautiful the grounds were. He often told me that we needed to go visit the grounds together. After doing some research, I couldn’t think of a more perfect location to take my portraits. I am so excited for him to finally see them!! 🙂
