I’ll begin this post with one word: WOW. I’m so thankful that this was a photography workshop and I was allowed & encouraged to photograph everything, because I wanted to remember EVERY. SINGLE. DETAIL.
The level of effort and attention put forth by every person involved in the Villa Workshop in Napa Valley blew my mind. Everything was done with care and perfection.
In addition to spending lots of time learning in the classroom; we also had the chance to speak with Jose Villa, Joel Serrato, Laurie Aarons, Richard Photo Lab, and Mar of Team Hair and Makeup individually.
If you haven’t seen Friday’s post on the styled engagement from Day 1, be sure to check it out!) The afternoon of our second day, we photographed a styled wedding (below).
I can remember walking into the this styled setup (especially the one below) and feeling a bit of jaw drop. This gorgeousness was set in the middle of an opening surrounded on three sides by the vineyards of Aetna Springs.
Not only was this beautiful setting a part of our styled wedding, it was also the location for dinner that evening.
We paired up for the shoot and I was so happy to have the chance to shoot with Lani Elias. Lani was one of the first I’d met when we arrived to Aetna Springs the first night, and I feel like she’s somene I really connected with. We had a lot of fun shooting together (riding on the back of the golf carts) 🙂 ….. and she’s pretty incredible behind the camera, too.
Below are a few of my favorite images from the styled wedding :
