If you could sum up your wedding in three words, what would they be?
Romantic, Dramatic, Intimate
Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
I was looking for ways to make an outdoor venue work in August. We had to get married in August because of my school schedule. Le Pavillon had just opened and there had only been one wedding there so far. We took one look and booked it immediately. It was convenient, beautiful, and air conditioned!
What was your favorite wedding detail?
That is so hard! For the ceremony, it would be Michael’s Tallis suspended from the Chuppah and just the intimacy of the Chuppah. For the reception, it’s a tie between that unbelievable cake and the showstopper flower arrangement on the buffet table. Both showstoppers!
What is your favorite wedding memory from the day?
My favorite memory/memories were the moments I took to look around and see every chair empty because our guests were having so much fun on the dance floor, especially during the Horah and Second Line. Most of the Lafayette guests had never experienced the Horah, and the St. Louis guests had never experienced a Second Line. It was so much fun surprising everyone!
What is your wedding song?
“At Last” – Etta James
