It was April Fool’s Day; the day had been a rough for Haylie: she wasn’t feeling well, had a tough day at work and found herself standing in the kitchen in a terrible mood. Earlier that day, Eric had left work to swing by his sister’s house to pick up a surprise for Haylie. But it wasn’t just any surprise, it was her engagement ring.
They were making Oreo Balls in their new home together, when he stopped her and said, “I love you.” When she didn’t say anything back, he asked, “WELL, do you love me too?!!!” lol…Of course, she said yes and he went on to tell Haylie that he couldn’t imagine his life without her…that he wanted to spend the rest of it together. Her response, “ARE YOU SERIOUS?!” Now….if you know Eric, you can just about imagine what came out of his mouth next. It was something along the lines of….”No, April Fools.” 😉 She laughed, he cried…and they promised to be together forever.
Last Friday, Haylie’s dream wedding came true. It was filled with the perfect man for her, a church full of their closest friends and family members, her beautiful gown, and even a Rolls Royce to exit. 🙂 She was going for an antique/vintage look, an elegant, classy wedding….the day was perfect. And I’m honored to have been there to capture their wedding day.
I love the the simplicity and elegance of Haylie’s details. They were SO her!
And her dress! AH! LOVE.
This was my first wedding shot with my new D3s and I LOVE it’s ability to capture beautiful natural light images during the preparation.
Not only did Haylie look absolutely stunning…all 10 of her bridesmaids were ravishing in their eggplant one shoulder gowns.
Each bridesmaid had one handsome man to walk with….and look at Eric! Such a stud. 🙂
Haylie + Eric decided not to do a First Look…instead, I staged a shot together…without them seeing each other.
This images was so much fun. It just goes to show that you can be creative without losing a tradition.
All eyes were on Haylie as she walked down the aisle.
Haylie’s church is absolutely beautiful.
Mr. and Mrs. Eric Lott.
After the ceremony, we spent a bit of time shooting in the church with Haylie + Eric.
AH! They are SOOO amazing together.
Their love IS sweet.
They started their reception with the first dance.
Isn’t Haylie’s cake GORGEOUS! It really complimented all the other details from the wedding.
And Eric’s cake Couldn’t. Have. Been. More. Perfect. for him. 🙂
Eric was CRACKING me up during the garter removal…lol
Haylie decided to put fate into her own hands with the tradition of the bouqet toss….
….by bringing the bouqet STRAIGHT to her sister, Shari.
THIS is why I LOVE her.
Can you tell they are THE perfect match!!?!?!?!?!?!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
A reception led by these two was absolutely a blast!!!!! And it ended with them leaving in this gorgeous rolls royce.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Haylie + Eric,
I hope you are off enjoying your honeymoon and your life together as a married couple.
I’ve said it time and time and time again….but I am a little sad that the wedding festivities are over and I hope to stay in touch with the two of you and your families as your love and lives grow together.
I am thankful that I was there to be a part of the celebration, capturing the moments as they unfolded. And I hope they ALWAYS bring you back to this place, to this love, and to this incredible event!
You both have been an absolute pleasure to work with and I am TRULY truly blessed to have met the two of you. ALL THE BEST!!!!
