103: My #1 Wedding Lens: A Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 Review

There’s an endless catalog of photography gear out there and information overload is definitely real!! I’ve been experimenting with gear for over 10 years and have learned through trial and error what works for the wedding photography business and what doesn’t. Allow me to clear the noise and help you with your Nikon Gear questions from experience and research!! 

So, if you’re in the market for new gear or need a starting point for what kind of features to look for in a lens, this video is for you! I’ll be talking you through all of the reasons I use (and LOVE) the Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.2 S …and a few cons as well – although not many. I’ll be talking through my opinions and personal experiences with important features like:

• Focus Speed: This camera is QUICK!
• Performance in low light: I rarely even use a flash anymore
• Price Point: It’s an investment… but a worthwhile one
• Image Quality: See a real example of a couple I photographed with this lens

Maybe this lens isn’t for you…yet. But it’s definitely one I would aim to purchase in the future! It’s my absolute favorite, for sure!
