My WPPI experience was an unforgettable one. From the time I woke up until the time I went to bed from Sunday through Thursday, I was submersed in what I love. I attended WPPI Las Vegas this year with my two close friends and fellow photographers Kaylynn and Valerie; I’m so happy they came!!! We were able to share with each other all that we learned and meet a ton of other photographers along the way.
From every speaker, I walked away with at least one lesson learned and the desire to really focus on the ways I am currently shooting and doing business. The speakers touched on a variety of topics ranging from shooting techniques, lens selection, branding, and marketing.
There were SO many other talented artists there and so much to learn; during the trade show, I seriously felt like a kid in a candy store. I was excited to attend and I’m even more excited to be back here in Lafayette, implementing everything and challenging myself more everyday.
When I arrived in Las Vegas, the first part of WPPI that I participated in, was observing the print competition. It was incredible and reminded me of the days we spent during critiques in architecture school (above).
After print competition, I went to hear Becker speak; he was motivational, passionate, and a GENIUS for starting the bschool. I am a huge fan of Becker’s approach: creating an amazing experience for your clients.
THE Becker:
That night, we made our way to the Grand Arena for the Fashion Show. We also met a few wonderful people, including Lindsey:
…and Jessica! 🙂
Check out the number of people! INSANE.
….yes, ladies, Nigel Barker is as beautiful in person as he is on TV! 🙂
Although it may appear as though I was actively roaming around the tradeshow, I was, at this moment, completely exhausted. There were SO many people and SO many vendors.
My girls!!!
If you’re looking for more information on WPPI, you can find that here. I am happy to be back home working with my clients again.
It was nice meeting so many of you in Vegas!
hey there, thanks so much for the shout out! i had a blast in vegas this year. i am still trying to catch up on sleep though!
So glad we met Catherine! Thanks for you email too. You’re SO kind!! As for Becker…I saw him three times at the show…once just tapping his shoulder to say “you’re awesome.” I missed his class because our flight there was late, but seeing him at Photographer’s Ignite made up for it! Can’t wait to follow you regularly! And shout out to the Kelly Moore booth, where we met. Haha. =)
I am glad you had a great time. I can’t believe you actually got to see Nigel. That is so amazing. Looking forward to you taking photos of my baby girl.
Thanks Becker, and Shannon it was nice meeting you too! 🙂 Ms. Norma, I am very much looking forward to working with your daughter.
