What three adjectives best describe your wedding?
Authentic, Rustic, Festive
Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
We chose St. Patrick’s Church because it is such a beautiful Church with lots of New Orleans history and is in a great location. We loved the old warehouse feel of Tomas Bistro. The food and staff were both wonderful.
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
Definitely the wedding dress 🙂
What was your best wedding day memory?
Walking through the streets of New Orleans during our second line as husband and wife with all of our family and friends in tow!
Did you create any details yourself? How did you incorporate your personalities into the wedding?
From the color scheme to the New Orleans feel of the night, we planned it all. My dad and cousin helped fabricate the cake stand from an old cypress tree, my sister-in-law made the completely original cake topper, a family friend made Kevin’s beer-themed groom’s cake, and Kevin made the “mash paddles” for his groomsmen. The mash paddles are used for home brewing, which is one of Kevin’s favorite hobbies. As far as the feel of the wedding goes, we wanted it to be fun and festive with a New Orleans twist!
What is your wedding song?
