The dresses arrived and I could barely contain my excitement. The chance to photograph Tara Keely gowns in a collaboration with Heather Chauvin Grimm….with a DREAM team was going to be so much fun!!!
Heather and I spent a ton of time discussing and planning with Erin and Jennie of JLM Couture the details of the shoot and it was finally time! Heather had prepared several details to incorporate through her company Cottonwood South, the models set out for hair/makeup with Ashley Sievert and Sara Buteaux, Poppy and Mint delivered florals, and we arrived to the venue. The weather was PERFECT which is more than we could ask for here in New Orleans!
The venue was ideal…a beautiful gated home in uptown. It had all the feel and character of a home in this unique city and the dresses vibed perfectly with the space. Speaking of the dresses! I love that there was variety: truly a dress for every kind of bride!
The day was a pure result of team effort. I especially have to give props to Heather who not only photographed three of the models but wore a gown herself, created the calligraphy pieces and helped accessorize and manage the shoot. Seriously, this woman is mad talented!
Thank so much to JLM and Tara Keely for giving us the opportunity to collaborate! And I have so much appreciation to the vendors who contributed their time, talent and expertise. You guys rock!
