The first convention I attended here in Las Vegas was this past summer for Skip’s Summer School. I left inspired, more knowledgeable, and ready to take a few risks. A few things have happened since. I’ve moved into my office, worked with Allison Bohl to create my new promo video, and have been developing my soon-to-be released website with Friend of a Friend, LLC.
But more than that happened. After last summer’s convention, I was convinced that I am absolutely where I should be. I realize that not everything or everyday will be perfect; but I do know that I will continue working hard to create modern and emotional images for my clients. I love that I am able to work with so many fun, kind, and easy-going couples that are open to being unique.
After Skip’s Summer School, I decided I was going to attend my first WPPI convention in Las Vegas. I convinced my two INCREDIBLE friends and fellow photographers Valerie and Kaylynn to come along, and we’ve been non-stop since we arrived. We’ve listened to numerous speakers, attended an insane trade show, watched a runway fashion display, and had plenty of opportunities to shoot in our spare time (more specifics on WPPI to come).
Most of these shots are purely for fun…and will be treasured by me forever. I hope in the years to come I enjoy my future visits to WPPI as much…after all the journey in life is where the true fun lies. The first time for everything is always memorable, but I can guarantee that God-willing, I will be back next year.
Even on the walk back to the hotel room, we found windows of opportunity for unique images. Being here with Kaylynn + Val has been priceless.
I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to be in Las Vegas for WPPI and for the clients who trust in me and support me in all that I do. Thank you for that and I am so thankful for you.
