Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
Gary and I loved the New Orleans vibe of our venue! We wanted a place that would be charming, unique and romantic. We fell in love with Cedar Grove.
What was your favorite wedding detail?
I loved the rustic look of our wedding! The colors of the bridesmaids dresses, my dress, the flowers, our cakes (especially Gary’s which was a full size replica of his guitar), and the engaging high-energy performance of the band.
Fany- My favorite wedding memory is when the church doors opened, and I got to see Gary for the first time. I love how handsome he looked in his tux. Despite us being in a crowded church, our eyes met and it was only me and him at that moment. Gary- My favorite wedding memory is our first dance. Gazing in my wife’s eyes and singing her every word of our favorite song while we danced.
How did you incorporate your personalities into your wedding celebration?
We love all of the fun times of the year in New Orleans like Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day. We had a band that kept the dance floor packed and ended with an amazing second line! We also incorporated St. Patrick’s day (our wedding day) into the wedding complete with the passing of a green and white flower cane and more. It was amazing to see it all come together!
