Was this the dress you initially thought you’d wear for your wedding?
I knew that I wanted something different – something I hadn’t seen on anyone else. And when my fiancés sister suggested that I try on this dress, I knew it was special. I put it on and didn’t have to think twice. I was in love!
Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
I wanted something form fitting, classy, elegant, different, and something that highlighted my back – which is my favorite feature. I loved the train on the back and wanted something that had details from top to bottom. I love the crepe fabric and the simplicity of the front and then the “wow-factor” with the illusion back. The aleçon lace adds timeless elegance that I truly came to adore.
Finally, I put aside what other people thought and trusted myself to choose this dress. I’m happy I did.
How do you feel when you put on your dress?
I feel beautiful – I feel like a bride. For many of the dresses I tried on, I felt like I was playing dress up. When I put this dress on, I could envision myself walking down the aisle and marrying the love of my life. The dress made it all real.
Why did you choose this particular bridal session location?
It came highly recommended from my fabulous photographer and it was nestled away in the middle of busy Baton Rouge. I had no clue such a tranquil and beautiful place existed.
