Alex had waited weeks for Kelli’s engagement ring. He had searched long and hard for the perfect vintage ring that suited her elegance.
The day before the proposal Alex casually mentioned to Kelli that he was so happy with where they were in their relationship…he loved that they were in such a good place.
The next day, the ring arrived. With much anticipation for that moment he offered up the idea to go for a walk. Kelli + Alex are VERY into the outdoors and spend much of their free time with their dogs, hiking and enjoying the sun so Kelli was all for the idea.
So, on that afternoon during their walk together…one of I’m sure many they’ll now take together as husband and wife, Alex asked Kelli to spend the rest of her life with him.
…and the wedding planning began!
I could tell upon arrival to Damascus, VA that much thought went into the rehearsal dinner and wedding day for Kelli + Alex. They invited their closest friends and family and created an environment unique and personal to who they are.
The rehearsal dinner began with lots of visiting, hugs, and catching up with friends. Alex and I are cousins so I loved seeing and visiting with my family as well while I photographed the moments unfolding! The food was great and the toasts brought tears and laughter to all in attendance.
My Uncle Michael and I have gotten pretty close over the years…and I love that no matter where he is in life or what he’s up to, he always finds a way to open up and share. Seeing he, my Aunt Leslie, my cousins Camille and Elysia and all those who love Kelli + Alex so much really warmed my heart.
