Family. It’s something that’s been on my mind a lot lately. Maybe it was the holiday season that has left this analytical thought process heavy on my brain but I find myself thinking so much about what it means….or at least what I’ve come to understand as it’s meaning.
Growing up, I knew family as my biological…blood-related…sharing a bathroom, family. My mom, my dad, my brothers, and me. But as I got older, I realized that family isn’t what this meant at all. I’ve decided that the world “FAMILY” is only a term, not to describe the sharing of genetics or blood types, but to describe a bond. It’s an unbreakable connection, a love SO strong….and shared by a group.
There are a million things that set each wedding I photograph apart, but there’s one thing that always remains the same. Family. The incredible sense of camaraderie and trust, of love and genuine care for another. And it makes me SO happy to be there to document and to witness these relationships.
FAMILY. It is just that, an unbreakable bond.
