While studying at LSU Andrew and Katherine first met. Even to this day, they still love going back to Baton Rouge for LSU games in the Fall! Outdoors, travel, and LSU games are just a few of the things they enjoy together. <3
Katherine used to do a bit of part-time modeling for a company in Baton Rouge…so every few weeks they would ask her to pop in for a photo shoot. For one “photo shoot” Katherine was asked to arrive the following Sunday in full hair and makeup; and since they usually do the photo shoots on Sundays she thought nothing of it. She asked her boyfriend Andrew to join her, knowing that he would probably hangout with friends while they were in town.
As they pulled up to the campus, she texted the photographer to let her know they had arrived a few minutes early. And Andrew suggested that they walk around campus while they wait for the photographer; it was such a beautiful day after all.
They walked right up to Mike the Tiger statue and Andrew turned to Katherine to let her know there would be no photo shoot. He had taken her instead to the spot where they met three and half years before and asked her to marry him. He also actually DID have a photographer there…but only to capture the proposal.
We photographed their engagement session at Jungle Gardens also on a beautiful day! I had so much fun with these two … so I am sharing a few of my favorites below! Enjoy!
