This has definitely been an exciting week…for SO many reasons. The temperature has dropped, so now it’s totally acceptable for me to wear the same boots that I’ve been wearing all year long. 🙂 The semester is coming to an end…so lots of friends of mine can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. Wedding season is in FULL swing and there’s lots of wonderful memories being shared…and it’s almost the HOLIDAYS!!!! 🙂 🙂 Oh…and have I mentioned that this is 100% the season for falling in love? In addition to all of these happy times, this week I was able to photograph two big events: the City Club Ballroom Redesign and the Root Floral Design Grand Opening (which will be featured next)!
When I first met Hannah , I very quickly came to realize that she’s a go-getter, do-it-all, selfless and giving kind of woman. And on top of all that, she’s an incredible friend. She’s been such a huge support for me personally and in business and I cannot thank her enough for that! From the first time I stepped into her office, we clicked and I’ve enjoyed photographing weddings at City Club (where she is the Private Events Director) over the past couple of years! I’ve photographed several milestone events for City Club including their annual 2011 and 2012 Bridal Show  and their styled Rehearsal Dinner and Rustic Outdoor Ceremony. <–Needless to say, Hannah and the staff at City Club are ALWAYS busy coordinating something and improving their venue for the City Club clients.
SO, I couldn’t be MORE excited for Hannah and the staff that their ballroom has just finished the redesign! In case you’re either not familiar with…or can no longer remember what the ballroom looked like before, I dug up an image from about one year ago so you could REALLY see the difference.
And here’s the new design. Everything from the paint colors, window treatments, lighting, and decor has changed!
LOOOOOVVVEEEEE
AH! I am just SOOO excited to photograph my next City Club wedding. How exciting it must be for the brides who’ve booked their
wedding here…and are now in for a totally new design when their wedding comes!
Hannah was especially proud of this area of the ballroom and the statement mirror above the fireplace!
Flowers by Rodney did an excellent job with the florals and this dessert on the right by City Club…yea, I was obsessed.
All of the artwork is original…including these two pieces on the left which were from the original City Club and refinished.
The window treatments were another aspect of the design that received LOTS of positive attention at the unveiling.
I think for me, one of the most exciting new eliminates is the lighting.
It has really brightened the space and the chandeliers look beautiful in photos!
Congratulations to Hannah (pictured beside me in the image on the right) and the rest of the City Club staff for a job well done!!!!
What do YOU think about the new redesign? Feel free to leave your comments below.
Oh my gosh! So beautiful! Such a lovely update. It feels so much better suited for the events that are held there now.
