It’s kind of crazy that one day every year….it’s ok to feel special. Yesterday was truly SUCH a blessing. Like everyone in life, there are good days and there are bad days. And I’m a believer that you because of the bad daysyou’re able to REALLY appreciate the good ones. 🙂
So, yesterday was a good day. And I just really wanted to use this post as a way to remember one of those good days. The day began with me consciously making the decision to take the day off. With our last wedding being this past Saturday, and having worked right through Monday, I knew it was an appropriate time to do so.
Around 10:30, I rolled out of bed. I took my time in the shower, sent a few emails…and headed to the salon. I highlighted my newly cut short, blonde hair. While I was there, I even received the sweetest sentiment, this bouquet of flowers seen below from a few of my closest girl friends. <–Seriously, how sweet is that?!
After finishing at the salon, I headed to hang out with my mom. 🙂 I mean, let’s be honest, as much as I say we’re different, I’m basically a younger version of her. So, although we have our moments…the day couldn’t have been better. She and I went to the mall for a few hours, even picked out the outfit I would wear later that evening. 🙂 We had some sweets from Katie Bakes and just enjoyed spending time together.
That evening, a friend of mine and I headed to Coyote Blues to hang out with some of my closest friends. It was an awesome night and just really relaxing in general. The entire day was perfect and I truly couldn’t ask for more. Thank you to everyone who took time out of your day to wish me a Happy Birthday..it meant so much!!!
