What three adjectives best describe your wedding?
Romantic, fun & emotional.
Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
We looked at four different venues in New Orleans, but when we walked into the Gardens at City Park we were sold!! We loved the natural lighting in the Pavilion from all the windows & wanted the option to open the doors and utilize the gorgeous outside. For the ceremony we wanted a romantic feel and the ivory candles and flowers around the fountain captured exactly what we were looking for. The Pavilion has plenty of space for a large wedding & with 240 guests it was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding. Our guests are still talking about how breathtaking the venue was!!!
What is your favorite wedding purchase?
My wedding dress. I did not want to take it off after the wedding was over!!
What is your wedding song?
Precious Love by James Morrison
What is your favorite wedding memory?
So many to choose from!! Loved the sentimental moments during our ceremony when we read our own vows, adored reading my letter from Rhett before the ceremony, our first dance was very special and intimate, the Hava Nagila chair dance was way too much fun & of course the Second Line topped off the evening!! My absolute favorite wedding memory was when I locked eyes with my groom as I was walking down the isle and realized how incredibly lucky I was because I get to spend forever with this incredible man!!
Did you create any details yourself? How did you incorporate your personalities into the wedding?
My mom and I created a lot of the details. We did the praline and pecan table, the table dedicated to my dad & other personal touches. We also incorporated both Jewish & Louisiana traditions which I loved. Our families & friends mean so much to us; having the people closest to us on our wedding day really expressed who we were and made the night so perfect.
As I’m sure you can tell from Cait’s writing above…this couple is humble, sweet…and just down right awesome. From the moment I met Cait, I feel like we were just old friends. She’s such a genuine and fun person and I feel truly blessed to have worked with Cait and her sweet love, Rhett! <3 These two make everyone around them feel good…and I just feel so honored to have photographed their day. There truly were SO many lovely moments for their beautiful/intimate wedding. Enjoy a preview of this special day:::
