Was this the dress you initially thought you’d wear for your wedding?
Yes and no. I did not have a specific dress style in mind; however, I knew what I did not want. Once I tried on the dress, it was definitely a dress I knew I could see myself getting married in!
Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
According to Rivini designer Rita Vinieris, my dress was “inspired by an ice castle in Sweden” featuring translucent fabrics and unique layers, complete with a touch of sparkle.
My dress has many unique aspects that make it so different, special, and simply beautiful. It is sleeveless, featuring tiered French Alencon laces and a cascading peplum over a silk tulle skirt. Each layer of the French Alencon lace is a different pattern, yet it flows together so perfectly. The silk tulle skirt bustles a few inches at the bottom corner to where you can see the tulle underlay. In my opinion, the most unique part about my gown is the French Alencon lace patterns hand stitched onto the tulle skirt. Lastly, the fabulous sparkle belt completes the look. I chose this look because it is timeless!
How do you feel when you put on your dress?
When I put on my dress, I feel very elegant and like a woman in love! 🙂
Why did you choose this particular bridal session location?
I took my bridals at a family friends home in River Ranch. I chose this location because it is different from other local venues, and it is absolutely beautiful. There are several gorgeous sceneries throughout this location that I fell in love with. Actually, during the photo shoot, I didn’t even feel like I was in Lafayette, Louisiana. I felt like I was in another country or something… It was just that beautiful! 🙂
Any advice for future brides embarking on this wedding journey?
Stay organized and remember to have fun! Aside from the normal, occasional stress that comes with the planning, this is the most exciting time of your life…so embrace it and do it YOUR way! 🙂
