The older I get, the faster time flies. We’re already halfway through June and it feels like the year has just begun.
I love that life has been so busy…and spontaneous. I’m fortunate to do what I love, so much of my time is spent working. However, I have been making it a point when I do have a bit of free time, to spend it with those I love most.
Growing up in Morgan City, my friends and I were creative about how we spent our time. There was little to do in our small town, so we spent our afternoons rollerblading, on the water…and doing whatever other adventure came to mind. Around the 8th grade, I was (and still am) good friends with Reagan who then introduced me to her little sister, Ryan. I immediately connected with Ryan’s sense of humor, sassy personality, and free spirit. How lucky was I to have two sisters…both awesome…and both as good friends?! 🙂
Reagan has moved all over the world since high school, and Ryan does her fair share of traveling as well. But for the most part, Ryan and I have remained about 2-ISH hours apart…and I L.O.V.E. the time I get to spend with her.
We seriously pick up where we left off and having a friend that’s been with me since childhood is pretty incredible. There’s lots of feelings and thoughts that we never have to say out loud…because we just….KNOW, ya know?! I absolutely LOVE my Rye; I also love that she’s found her best friend and love, Will, to spend her life with.
Recently, I traveled to NOLA to visit her and grabbed a few film photos of she, Will..and “ziggers.” Even posting these today brings a smile to my face.
Life is too short. Make time for those you love, and spend your free time wisely.
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!
