If you could sum up your wedding in three words, what would they be?
Traditional, Intimate, and Personal

Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
I have been decorating the Opera House for their fundraising gala every year since they started hosting the event. Jeff has come to every Eve of the Eve Ball with me and we love the Opera House. We love the family that runs and revived the Opera House, so it feels a little like home. St. Michael’s is a beautiful and perfectly sized church right behind the Opera House, so it was a perfect choice.

What was your favorite wedding detail?
I cant pick just one. I tried to put Jeff and I into every detail. The most perfect may have been the cake. It was more beautiful than I expected. And with my mom making all of the gumpaste flowers, it was a labor of love. But the charcuterie display was another detail that came out better than I expected. The flowers, the favors, the look and feel of everything was so perfect it’s impossible to pick one favorite.

What is your favorite wedding memory from the day?
Honestly my favorite was getting ready with my family and bridesmaids. It was so perfect and calm. Everything after that was an emotional blur. Just as they all say!

How did you incorporate your personalities into your wedding celebration?
Jeff and I are pretty involved in our hobbies, so we included our favorites into the wedding. The celebration included our absolute favorite band- Dank Chick. I did all of the graphic design, calligraphy, and painting so I personalized everything I could. We love cured meats and cheeses so we had a pretty elaborate spread. And of course our favorite cocktails. One of the most fun features was the caricature artist. Overall our personalities were all over the celebration. Jeff even made 144 jars of Mayhaw jelly for all of our guests at the rehearsal dinner.

What is your wedding song?
