If you could sum up your wedding in three words, what would they be?
Classic, Lively, Memorable
Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
Blair and I both attended Our Lady of Fatima school, so the church was a fitting, familiar and comfortable setting for both of us. We had a couple of options for the reception, but when I brought Blair to the UL Alumni House and shared my vision with him, he was immediately on board and loved it!
What was your favorite wedding detail?
The rosary around my bouquet was made from rose petals from the burial site of my grandmother who passed away months before our wedding.
What is your favorite wedding memory from the day?
My dad handing me off to Blair and telling him to “take care of me” as both men choked back tears. I also hope that I never forget the way my groom, father, and grandfather looked at me that day. Oh, and Father Schumacher’s homily…too many favorite moments to pick one!
How did you incorporate your personalities into your wedding celebration?
We love to dance, so we made sure our band would get the crowd moving with us!
What is your wedding song?
“You Are the Best Thing” – Ray Lamontagne
