Ten years ago, Ashley moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU. She has loved the city and made Baton Rouge her home. There in that city, she found a job working for a company where it allowed her to meet Charles.
She and Charles love their rescue puppies, Jack and Bruno (who they thoroughly enjoy spending time with). But their favorite dates are Sunday morning mass followed by a HUGE Sunday breakfast!
One day, Ashley left work to take their dogs to the vet and spent the rest of the afternoon home with her sick pup. Charles meant for them to take a walk that afternoon and proposal on a nearby bridge but since their evening plans changed…he had to come up with “Plan B.”
He stopped by the store to grab flowers and hung a sign for her that read “Will You Marry Me?” in their backyard. He made arrangements for dinner and before they left, asked her to join him in taking the dogs out. When she walked into the backyard to meet him, he was down on one knee with flowers and the sign hung behind him!!!
We photographed their engagement session at Windrush Gardens in Baton Rouge on an overcast day; but these two didn’t let the weather get their spirits down. Even when it started raining at the end of the session, we still had fun! I just grabbed my clear umbrella and we photographed in the rain. 🙂 I love these guys! <3
