Addie + Justin were married on Saturday, and if I didn’t know that I would be in the wedding atmosphere again with them for Addie’s sister’s wedding in September, I would be SOO sad. Because truly, they are an amazing couple. We shot their engagement session in the FREEZING cold and there was no complaining from either one. They have been such incredible clients and have, through this process, become friends. π
For Addie’s bridal session, she wanted to shoot in a rustic, old location with an elegant feel, so she chose Acadian Village. It couldn’t have suited her Simply Modern taste better. She came accompanied by her sisters, her mom, and her incredible stylist and friend DeEtte. Being around these ladies makes me SO happy and also slightly envious of the fact that I don’t have a sister of my own.
They are sharing in so many special moments in each other’s lives right now: both Addie + Haylie’s wedding, Brynn’s first child, the move of their mother into her new home. After losing their house in a fire the May before last, they’ve seen much joy since such a tragic moment in their lives.
I couldn’t say enough how TRULY honored I am to have been Addie’s photographer. Being there for her engagements, her bridals, and her wedding day was SO much fun and I loved every moment of it. Being that I’ve never shot bridals here before, I approached the session with an open mind, without any pre-conceived notion of what we would shoot at this location…..and we had a blast.
Before I wow you with a full shot of Addie’s dress, check OUT the detailing on her gown. WOW.
I have been just dieing to put her images out…I am so excited to finally release these photos!!!
Addie, you are beautiful! And I love your smile. π
The church proved to be a perfect location for her bridals!
Addie chose this image as her reception display and now this photograph will live in her mother’s new home!
Addie had the greatest idea to bring some of her sister’s vintage furniture to the shoot!
She’s so detail-oriented. She even brought along a side table and candleabra to add character and create an environment for the session.
This is my personal favorite from the day!!!!
Addie,
You have been a blessing to work with. Truly. I couldn’t have asked for a more laid-back, creative, and detail-oriented bride. From the beginning, you have treated me like a friend…even a sister. π And that means the world to me. Being there for your wedding Saturday meant so much to me and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to document your engagements, your bridals, and your wedding day. I hope you are off having a wonderful honeymoon and I look forward to catching up when you return. π
Live Simply, Love Freely,
Catherine
