New Orleans Engagements: Darah + Dennis

Four years ago, the stars aligned for Darah + Dennis. Already intertwined by a mutual friend, their paths crossed and developed into a beautiful, loving, and now…a life-long relationship. At the time, Darah was practicing dentistry and Dennis was on the path to surgery; so yes, they are also ambitious and intelligent (in addition to being –in the words of zoolander — “ridiculously good looking”) :). Their love for each other is apparant; even while Dennis was away in New York, they managed to make their relationship a priority. This could have  been the hardest time in their relationship; instead, it created an even stronger bond.

Darah + Dennis genuinely enjoy each others’ company; his laid back and easy going personality is such the compliment to her upbeat disposition. In fact, being around these two reminds me SO much of Brad and I’s relationship. 🙂 Not only are they sweet to each other, but they also have a way of making others feel like they’ve known them forever. They’re kind, generous and just down right good people.

We started their session in New Orleans at the Loew’s Hotel and made our way to the downtown New Orleans area…here is a preview of their session:

Darah was a little nervous about the shoot when we started, but Dennis was there by her side for the entire shoot, comforting her.. and letting her know how beautiful she is! 🙂

They both expressed how they enjoy hanging out at The Loew’s in New Orleans. In fact, they have been known to hang out in this very spot.

I am in LOVE with the lighting; and we really couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to shoot with such a beautiful couple.

I absolutely loved the outfits they wore for their shoot…all the time taken to prepare definitely paid off.

And even though the water drops were blowing in the wind, Darah toughed it out long enough to get this beautiful shot!

They both told me how much they love spending time here in NOLA….I’m so happy we chose a location that means something to them.

Dennis….Darah’s ring is STUNNING!

I feel like they are the perfect example of a couple that is able to just enjoy the little things in life: together.

As the sun started to set, we made our way to the River Front with they’re dog Colston.
