She was introduced to him by her friend Ashley, a bridesmaid at their wedding this past Saturday. She was responsible for starting the relationship that ended (or shall we say began) with a walk down the paved aisle at City Club. They met at church and ran into each other at a later gathering. Mike had his eye on Brianna from the beginning but there was a bit of competition in the family. 😉
“May the best man win”….was what Mike jokingly told his brother with that casual smile of his. Apparantely, Mike’s brother had his eyes on the same woman but fate would ultimately bring Brianna and Mike together.
He gave her his phone number the first time they spent time together but had no expectations of her actually following through. Unbeknownst to him, she was interested in him too. They spent countless hours talking on the phone, laughing, and sharing…getting to know the one that they would eventually spend the rest of their life with. Mike says he can still remember waking up with puffy eyes on those longs nights of late night conversations ending with his early morning alarm clock for work.
After all the months and time spent getting to know they were meant to be, they sealed the deal this past Saturday underneath the City Club pavillion on an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day…..
The girls of Dore Dore Salon did a beautiful job with Brianna’s hair and make-up. Tiffany Barras (Brianna’s hair stylist) has such a wonderful personality and is always smiling! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Brianna tells me her favorite purchase was her wedding dress…
Janice of Victory Silks and Interiors did an excellent job with her bouquet and the bouquets for each bridesmaid.
Brianna wore her mother’s jewelry on her wedding day. I love this…
And her little sister wore the cutest white gloves to match her flower girl dress.
These girls are Beautiful!…Brianna chose the bright Spring colors because she wanted a wedding that looked as happy as she felt.
Michael and his groomsmen are so handsome!
Not many people realize that City Club is not just a reception venue; it is also the most beautiful location for weddings such as this one.
And this was Michael’s expression as she walked down the paved aisle.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ernest
After the wedding, we spent some time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Michael LOVES cars and it meant so much to him to take some in front of Brianna’s grandmother’s mercedes.
This is my favorite shot of the day.
The reception was held in the 1100 Room at City Club.
Brianna and Mike had the TASTIEST wedding cake, designed by Crystal Weddings.
Their first dance as husband and wife…
As Brianna went to dance with her father, she leaned into him and burst into tears of both happiness and sadness. It was such a sweet moment.
Brianna and Mike had Lafayette DJ Jamie Knight making the party happen. Every time I work with Jamie, I’m impressed by his ability to transform the venue with his lights and his music.
Brianna and Mike,
Congratulations!!! Who would of thought that in 4 months you could plan such an incredible event!!! We could not have asked for more beautiful weather to celebrate your wedding. I had so much fun being there to document your day and I wish you the best with your new home and your new life together.
