Planning our wedding was something I did subconsciously over the eight years leading up to the wedding a a result of owning and running my own photography business. Every time I saw or photographed something I did or didn’t love, I took a mental note. When it came time to plan our own wedding, five months was more than enough time to create and execute the vision we knew so quickly and easily that we wanted for our day!
A few of the must haves for our wedding were:
A Small Guest List: Brad and I are very outgoing, but when it comes to large groups and entertaining we felt a smaller setting would better suited to us as a couple.
A Venue in New Orleans: Gosh, we love this city so much!! We always joke that we love each other more in New Orleans. 😉 It definitely holds a special place in our heart and now even more special memories!!
Natural Light: We wanted ALL the light! As a film photographer, I realize the importance of lots of natural light on a wedding day and I wanted to give ourselves and our guests the chance to both experience and have documentation of a daytime wedding! I have always loved the laid back and fun feel of a daytime party…it was just what we envisioned!
Extraordinary Vendors: After experiencing so many weddings and working so closely with other professionals in the industry, we not only chose vendors we knew would do an amazing job…but also people we value as friends! We could not be more grateful to each of them for helping to execute our dream day. <3

(Below are my favorite images from the day and the ones we used for our wedding album. It was so hard choosing…but after hours and hours of sifting through the photos, we honed in on the ones we felt most told the story of the day.)
To our Friends and Family: We love you. Our day was made special because each of you were there to celebrate with us. Thank you for your support prior to, during and thus far following our wedding! Words cannot express how much you mean to the both of us.
