It is hard to put an experience into words, especially an experience such as Jennifer + Daniel’s wedding. The difficulty lies in attempting to recreate an experience so unique and so special for them so that they may treasure and share with those who could not make the trip. It is also a challenge to communicate or even to create in writing for myself a journal of the way in which I experienced and witnessed such family, friendship, and love.

When Jennifer booked for her September 3 wedding in Pensacola Beach, she was anticipating sunny skies and sandy beaches. Instead, she was greeted with Tropical Storm Lee, windy skies, and rainy beaches…

The alternative could have resulted in such a variety of ways; Jennifer + Daniel decided early on that no matter what…things were going to be ok. They were going to be better than ok….and they were.

Daniel + Jennifer decided to invest into a nicer beach house in the case that there might be rain and as a result they were fortunate enough to have a beautiful space to host their wedding.

It was the first time I was able actually experience a wedding. And I use the word experience because they truly made me feel I was a part of it. We were there starting the day before and we left the day after. We saw the place come together, come apart, and come back together again. And I loved every moment of it.

Their families were sweet, considerate and welcoming and truly allowed us in from the start. Even if there was a tropical storm, personally, I don’t think the wedding could have been more perfect any other way. And I think the sign below says it best:

It was really neat to be there for the night before the wedding. This was when Daniel exchanged his groomsmen gifts.

This is Holly. And she’s ADORABLE.

We couldn’t have been more thankful for this beach house. It served to be the perfect spot with the weather conditions.

Loving the sand…

….and wishing the rain would go away.

Jennifer took such care to make sure every detail was in place.

Mrs. Warner’s dress hung on the cutest twisted wire hanger.

Although Jennifer chose to go barefoot for the wedding, I loved the shoes she wore for her bridals.

With everyone getting ready in the beach house it was really nice for Amelia and I to be able to photograph the preparation of both Daniel and Jennifer.

I love this shot below by Amelia. Aren’t their yellow dresses so sweet…

With the weather, I know Jennifer was somewhat disappointed. However, at this moment all she was thinking about was seeing Daniel. 🙂

These were the hairnets the girls wore home from the salon! lol…

Here was their First Look. Daniels’ face as she walked out was priceless. No one was around and he was smiling from ear to ear.

My Angle.

LOVE.

We spent some time following shooting the two of them together and the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

What a beautiful bridal party!

And the house was filled with love before the ceremony began. It was fun to see all of their families really spend time together in the same house.

The ceremony begins with Jennifer’s ascending the stairwell.

And Daniel seeing her walk down to him.

The wedding really came together for them and I love the way you can see the beach beyond.

During the ceremony, they mixed their sand together to symbolize the unity of their marriage.

After the wedding, Jennifer + Daniel decided they wanted to face the weather and take some shots on the beach. They may not have had the wedding out there, but they wanted their shots! 🙂 🙂 🙂 And of course, I was ALL about it.

You two are just beautiful together.

I believe this one is my favorite.

During the reception there was lots and lots of laughter and visiting in the house.

Jennifer + Daniel had all of their closest friends and family members there to celebrate with them.

Daniels’ groom’s cake was awesome…

…Even with the crazy winds everyone stuck it out through the flying sparks to give them the sparkler exit they wanted! 😉

Jennifer + Daniel,

Thank you so much for allowing us to be there for your wedding. It was perfect and I am so happy to see how everything really came together for two such wonderful people. Being there for the experience was something I will treasure forever and I am honored to have been there. I hope you are enjoying the last day of your honeymoon and I look forward to seeing your love grow over the years.

Have a safe trip home!
Catherine
