Rip Van Winkle Gardens Engagements: Angela + Jude

It was a hot summer day, yet after dinner Jude insisted going on a walk with Angela. Going for a stroll isn’t exactly on Jude’s typical list of favorite pasttimes so immediately Angela found the suggestion out of the ordinary.

However, she went along with the idea! Angela suggested they go for a walk in River Ranch which Jude agreed to…before changing his mind. He insisted that the walk around the cathedral instead.

When they arrived at St. John’s they walked around the large oak out front, taking their time and visiting. Awhile later, they hopped in the car and rode off.

Not too long after leaving the church, Jude decided that he wanted to go back to the church to show Angela something that he forgot to show her while they were there. Surprised, she delightfully agreed.

It wasn’t long after they pulled up to the church and stepped out the car when Jude got down on one knee, asking Angela to be his wife.

We spent the afternoon of their engagements shooting on the grounds of Rip Van Winkle Gardens. The weather has been absolutely incredible lately and the day of their session was no different. The peacocks were in full blown peacock mode…and we grabbed some awesome shots of Angela and Jude!

The peacocks at Rip Van Winkle Gardens are all about putting on a show.  The day was overcast so intitially we were nervous, almost cancelling the shoot! However, I’m SO happy that we didn’t. The day ended up being cool…and I had free reign to shoot under the clouds. I love that Angela is always laughing. She’s such a happy person to be around!  And there’s no denying that when Jude looks at her, he can’t help but smile too!  I asked if Jude ever picks Angela up…and before I could even get ready, he had scooped her up!  You guys are just too cute! I love it. Thanks for such an awesome shoot!
