When I arrived, I had never before met the bride and groom. I was asked to second shoot this wedding I happily agreed! π Any opportunity to second shoot is one I love. It’s filled with opportunities for learning and new challenges. When I approached the hotel, I was greeted by a tall handsome man who led me up to a room full of more handsome men. π They were all so friendly and DEFINITELY not shy. It’s actually a bit funny to realize the difference between men and women on the day of a wedding. While the women were most likely touching up their hair and makeup, analyzing which bracelet goes better with their dresses, curling and recurling their hair, the guys were dancing in their hotel room, relaxing with a drink, or kicking back.
There is one thing that’s for sure: Roch LOVES Mary Ellen. Being that I was their second shooter, I had never before spoken to either the bride or the groom about their relationship, but their love was apparant as soon as I arrived to begin shooting. Roch introduced himself with the biggest smile and showed me the card Mary Ellen sent to him. Inside was a beautiful image of neatly laid next to the phrase, “It’s game time.”
It was a pretty hot day out, so the guys shared time standing over the A/C unit.
Roch’s brother looking sharp.
This is Roch…handling a few last minute wedding plans.
And this is Roch’s other brother; who is SUCH a gentleman.
What a handsome group of men?!
….and here is Roch’s beautiful bride.

This is my favorite favorite favorite part of second shooting: capturing the bride just before she walks down the aisle.
She and her dad were practicing their King and Princess waves. lol..
Mary Ellen and Roch were married at Sacred Heart Church in Broussard, an absolutely beautiful Cathedral.
And their reception followed at the Madison in Broussard.
The way they look at each other is so sweet.
LOVE.
….and the celebration followed!!!!
Congratulations to Mary Ellen and Roch and thank you for allowing me to be a small part of the bigger picture. π It was an absolutele pleasure being there to shoot and I hope the images always bring you back to such a beautiful day.
