Derek and Emily met at a New Year’s Party in the year 2006. They were a year apart, attending two different schools but fate had its way with these too. Just a few months passed before these two were “officially official”…high school sweethearts. In Emily’s eyes, they’ve grown up together and become not only lovers but best friends as well. <3
They are each others’ inspiration and support and have pushed each other to become better both individually and as a couple. Emily + Derek got engaged a little over a year ago and have been planning their wedding since.
The place where they would hold their ceremony was easy to choose. It’s where Emily went to grade school and would walk every Tuesday morning for mass. They’ve been memebers of the parish for almost 10 years and feel very connected to the Cathedral.
Their wedding could be described as Classic, Elegant, and a ton of FUN! Emily’s favorite detail was her wedding dress and Derek loved his cheesecake! Their Southern heritage and family values strongly influenced their wedding planning decisions as did the fall season.
