The day was rainy…not at ALL what we had anticipated but we’d been planning the shoot for months!
The idea began when Robin Hebert of the Indepent’s Acadiana Bride was interested in featuring a story on Root Floral Design. The concept revolved around a fashionable floral headpiece and Mia was kind enough to think of and include me in on the shoot!
We quickly began brainstorming ideas when in comes…Sophie of Joli Petale! Not only did Sophie assist us with picking out the most fabulous pink gown from A-nets, but she also assisted with the design and creation of the headpiece! {p.s. Sophie does beautiful bridal accessories and custom headpieces}
We were thankful to have the gorgeous Hailey Deas model for us…and truly TROOP it out in the rain & cold! The overcast weather actually worked to our advantage…but if you squint you can literally see the water in the gravel!
It was a crazy day..but like every collaboration with Mia, I spent the majority of the day laughing and holding my stomach! It’s always a pleasure.
I’d also like to give an extra special thank you to Sara Buteaux for, like always, doing a beautiful job with Hailey’s hair/makeup!
The full-length image of Hailey was actually chosen for the cover of Acadiana Brides magazine and now that it has been released (be sure to pick up a copy), I’m excited to finally be able to blog a few of my personal favorites from the shoot!
Don’t you wish that we could just walk around every day in fabulous dresses in floral headpieces? *sigh*
