Alyssa was attending LSU at the time she met John-Eric. Being the bubbly, fun-to-be-around kind of girl she is, Alyssa easily made friends at the University. Among those friends, were a large group of guys in the fraternity Alpha Gamma Rho. Apparantely, they all thought she should meet John-Eric.
Life seemed to get in the way and they never did meet.
Until….she got a flat.
At the time, her friends were ALL either unavailable, or out of town … so her roommate gave John-Eric a call. As a result, he showed up to save the day. Alyssa offered to cook her homemade chicken spaghetti for him in return and he was hooked from the start!
They were friends for six months before they realized how perfectly matched they truly were. It’s been about five years since that flat tire…and Alyssa can now happily call herself Mrs. Guillory.
If you haven’t read their proposal story or seen their engagement session, feel free to check them out! Alyssa’s bridals were also recently featured on the blog.
Alyssa + John-Eric’s day was every bit of fun…and romantic. The purple, ivory and gold color palette really came together beautifully and we had so much fun working with these two for their special day.
The planning was easy for Alyssa. Once she found “the dress,” she just followed her heart….just like she did with John-Eric.
I’m so excited to feature the preview of their wedding day! ENJOY!
Alyssa + John-Eric are huge LSU fans…so purple and gold just fits!
While I photographed Alyssa during those precious moments before she saw John-Eric, Amelia met up with John-Eric to grab this lovely shot of he and his mom.
Alyssa + John-Eric opted to do a First Look. I absolutely LOVE when couples choose to see each other before the wedding because it gives us the opportunity to create beautiful, outdoor portraits of the couple!
LOVE
I think this shot below that Amelia grabbed of them holding hands is just perfect.
These two just crack me up! They are so much fun….
I also appreciate that Alyssa was willing to go to an alternate location for the First Look and bridal party/family photos.
Location can make such a huge difference in the final outcome of the images! I mean..seriously. How GORGEOUS is this?!
Alyssa + John-Eric’s ceremony location was beautiful! I think the chandeliers were really unique!
Alyssa even carried a rosary from the initial church chandeliers…before it was renovated as a result of the hurricane.
It was an emotional moment for them as they exchanged the vows.
Mr. and Mrs. John-Eric Guillory
After the ceremony, we made sure to grab a few photos of the couple in this gorgeous church!
The reception was held at The Warehouse in Rayne, LA and the reception was every bit of fun that they wanted!
Alyssa took a lot of time and care in creating her wedding details…and I thought Katie Bakes did a beautiful job executing Alyssa + John-Eric’s cake vision!
They are SO in love.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!Alyssa + John – Eric,
Thank you for giving Amelia and I the opportunity to photograph your wedding day! It’s been so much fun working with you both…and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
I am thankful to have gotten to know you and to now call you friends.
