The weekend before Alyssa got engaged, we spent our first afternoon working together on a Southern Styled Shoot. Alyssa was the planner for the event, and I was so impressed with her. Just following the event I blogged about my experience working with Alyssa, her sweet personality and extreme level of organization. How she manages to stay so on top of things…and in such a sweet way is something to be admired.
The day of the shoot, Alyssa and I had a conversation about she and Jeffrey. Alyssa mentioned that in her eyes, he was the one and after years of getting to know one another she couldn’t wait to take that next step as husband and wife.
Little did she know, Jeffrey felt the same and had already been planning their engagement. She left shortly after the shoot for a trip to Chicago that weekend; and on that trip Jeffrey asked her to marry him! <3
Alyssa + I met to discuss the details of her wedding photography and I was stoked that she chose me to document this incredibly special time of their lives. We started this year-long journey with their engagement session. I had a lot of fun getting to know Alyssa + Jeffrey and it only made me even more excited to document their day!
A few months later, I was privileged to photograph Alyssa for her bridals at this lovely location, Afton Villa. Louisiana is SUCH a beautiful state and I’m grateful that through my work I’m able to experience and photograph these landscapes.
