I made it through! I survived my very first bridal show, and I can honestly say that it was a wonderful experience. I would like to send a special thanks to Hannah Trahan for her hard work and for organizing a wonderful event at City Club. I would also like to send a special thanks to Jason, for being such a huge help yesterday during the take down. I couldn’t have been more thankful to have been surrounded by such incredible vendors during the event last night.
To my clients that came to see me: I couldn’t have been more excited to see each of you. It made me so SO happy to see you there!
And to all of the brides I met….THANK YOU! I realize that space was limited and that we had a small amount of time to visit and get to know one another so thank you for being so patient and for your interest in my working together.
Now that I’m looking back on the show, I can say I’ve learned quite a few lessons that I will be SURE to implement at the next:
- Wear COMFORTABLE shoes….I’m not exactly sure what I was thinking when I decided to wear 4 in stillettos with a square toe.
- Clone myself. I would like to have two of me…even if it’s in the form of an assistant. π There was simply no way to talk to everyone for as long as I would have liked.
- Listen more. When I get nervous, I talk more instead of less. So in the future, I’ll practice being a better listener!
- Have confidence. I was nervous. Ridiculously nervous. But in the end, everything turned out ok. I didn’t pass out, and I met so many wonderful people!
Here are a few images from the show:
Everything was beautiful! I absolutely LOVED the horse and carriage.
They served food and in the center area there were models showcasing A-Net’s finest gowns.
There were signature drinks…
And this is my booth pre-show. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to move…much less shoot anything during the show,
but I wish I could have captured the FLOOD of people when they opened the doors!
During the show, I was SO excited to run into one of my brides, Christy Matherne. I was also elated to run into you, Rebecca!
In case you don’t know, these crazy kids are Valerie -Wedding Planner (Southern Fete) and her sister Natalie,, Hannah Trahan – Event Coordinator (City Club at River Ranch), Jason Cohen (fellow Photographer) and me! π π They Make Me Smile. π π
Thanks so much for a wonderful show and to all of you who offered your support and encouragement!!
