If you could sum up your wedding in three words, what would they be?
Timeless, southern, and exciting!

Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
We are parishioners at St. George Catholic Church– so it only made sense to have the ceremony there, especially because of how beautiful it is. We had our reception at the De La Ronde Hall because of the wonderful food (it is owned and catered by Ruffino’s), the beautiful ballroom, and because of how easy it was to plan a reception there!

What was your favorite wedding detail?
Kevin: Kristen’s wedding gift to me, a blue heron painted on a piece of old sinker cypress.
Kristen: My dress!! I wish I could wear it every day.

What is your favorite wedding memory from the day?
Kevin: The moment Kristen’s dad opened the door of the church and I saw her for the first time on our wedding day. I’ll never forget that!
Kristen: Seeing Kevin’s ear-to-ear grin as I met him on the altar, and dancing the night away with our loved ones.

How did you incorporate your personalities into your wedding celebration?
We incorporated our personalities in many different ways: groom’s and groomsmen’s swordfish socks, Kevin’s pie bar, traditional floral arrangements, and wonderful southern cuisine. We also had Louisiana and Colorado decorated cookies, since we moved to Colorado shortly after our wedding.

What is your wedding song?
“Stand by Me” by Ben E. King
