I was raised in a home where I was the youngest of three. Although the tendency was to be the spoiled, only female…youngest of three (<–I suppose occasionally I was), my family taught me about love, about values, and about respect. Over the years I’ve met so many wonderful people from all walks of life.
When Jessica + Mario asked my to shoot their wedding I was ecstatic. They are such a wonderful couple and we hit it off from the start. We are still tweeting back and forth now…even after their wedding has passed.Ā Attempting to have weddings featured has become part of my workflow. It’s something that I feel is important not only because it does extend my brand to other parts of the country and potentially other parts of the world, but also because it gives the couples I photograph a chance to be featured, and highlighted for their unique wedding details and special love for each other! š
I copied this information from their Munaluchi’s website in order to explain a little more of the wonderfulness that this site is:
“Munaluchi BrideĀ Ā is theĀ leading authority of bridal inspirationĀ for women of color.Ā In between issues, our website provides modern style-savvy brides with daily inspiration ranging from gorgeous real weddings, creative e-sessions, and all kinds of wedding goodness.
The name āMunaluchiā is a combination of two African names (one Ethiopian and the other Nigerian) which when fused together mean āBeautiful Work of God.ā The name perfectly describes our target audience, as all women, regardless of race or ethnicity are beautiful in their own light. It was launched in 2010 by Jacqueline and Chike Nwobu after the realization that women of color are major contributors to the $160-billion wedding industry, but have minimal presence in most bridal print publications. Munaluchi Bride fills this void and provides the truest example that love comes in more than one shade.”
I am absolutely honored to have Jessica + Mario’s wedding featured on Munaluchi Bride. If you’d like to check out their feature or simply learn more about the site, feel free to click the following link, or the image below:
