This book really spoke to me. It’s empowering and talks about a variety of issues and topics that so many women struggle with. I found Rachel to be unafraid to talk about the awkward and unsaid…and really dive into so many issues that need to be said out loud. After reading this book I felt stronger and more ready to take on the projects ahead of me!!
If you’ve never heard of Brene Brown, give her a quick google! Her youtube talk on vulnerability is incredible! She is to the point, bold in her statements, and knowledgeable in her research and topics. I love Brene because she leaves me with a feeling of confidence in being proud of who I am and accepting..maybe even proud of my insecurities and imperfections. ALL of her books are a MUST read.
3. The E-Myth
Don’t be fooled by the cover. Not going to lie..they could probably use a redesign. LOL But this content is SO great! As entrepreneurs, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of doing it all (#guilty). But this book explains all the parts of running a super successful business, what you should be focusing on and what you shouldn’t. This one is a good one! I read it years ago and it’s still one of my favorites.
4. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F….
This one was SO easy to read and I felt like Mark was talking to me and kicking me into mental shape. This is a struggle of mine…caring too much about too many things. He really helped me see the issue in this, and helped me to figure out WHAT I should be focusing on and how. If you are a major people please, or are guilty of caring too much about too many things, this one is for you!
5. The Complete Guide to Money
I debated over whether to put this first or last but if you’re going to read ANY book on this list…it’s this one. Dave Ramsey is famous for helping people with money for a reason. Brad and I were gifted this book for our wedding and read a chapter every few days out loud together. It helped us SO much in regards to prioritizing our finances, budgeting and creating a spending plan. If you are someone who doesn’t know much about money, investing and all the things I HIGHLY recommend this one!!!
If you are someone who loves audio books, podcasts or talks on the phone a lot I had to share these too. I purchased a set of Air Pods (this version) for my birthday and I love it. Women’s clothing hardly ever has pockets and these are INCREDIBLE when I’m multi-tasking. Whether I’m tuning into the latest episode of a podcast or holding a client meeting I absolutely LOVE having these!!! I cannot say enough and they’re on sale today for Amazon Prime Day!!
