On the day of a wedding, there are 1,894,392 things happening. There are usually a minimum of 30 guests and sometimes over 300 in attendance for an average of 18,000-28,800 seconds. That’s a lot of small moments happening.
In the past, I’ve learned that having children stand on dollar bills keeps them still (then they can exchange them for toys), there’s typically one man brave enough to dance with the groom during the money dance, and popping a bottle of champagne is apparently harder than it looks.
At Kelly and Jason’s wedding, I stumbled upon this conversation and immediately became intrigued:
If you put your hands together, just how their’s are you will understand my explanation….so go ahead, put your hands together!!! π (thumb-to-thumb, forefinger-to-forefinger, middle fingers bent and knuckles touching, ring finger-to-ring finger, and pinky-to-pinky.)
And as you try to pull each apart, consider what each represents:
The Thumbs: Your Parents
The Index Finger: Your Siblings
The Middle Fingers: The Strength of the Family
The Ringer Fingers: Your Husband/Wife
The Pinky Fingers: Your Children
As we grow, sometimes, we grow apart from our parents or siblings. And as parents, children can grow and begin their own lives. But the marriage bond to your husband/wife is never broken. If you put your hands together you will see how interesting it is to see your own ring fingers and their inability to come apart. π
Kelly and Jason are bonded for life ….a happy life of love and laughter. π And thanks to their friend’s insight:
I really enjoyed being able to share this.
