When I opened my email yesterday, this is what I read:

It was a pleasure to meet you and see you in action at my son Stewart’s wedding.. I can’t express enough how beautiful your presentation on your blog was of their wedding. Your written works made me feel as if I was living that night again. Everyone of my friends who have viewed them have oohed and aahed about how talented you were. Their wedding was such an important event in my life and you have made it all the more special by your beautiful pictures. You are the best!

Yes, I love to make art, and yes I love the creative challenge of capturing every detail and moment, but more than either of those things, I enjoy making people happy. I’m a people pleaser. Always have been…and probably always will be. And for the weddings that I shoot, there’s nothing that makes me feel better than working hard for that bride and groom. I want them to ENJOY their wedding and that’s exact what her son and his wife, Summar did at their wedding.
I had brunch with Summar this morning and she thanked me. She said that her wedding was a blur and that she is absolutely LOVING every minute she spends reading the blog. This makes me INCREDIBLY happy. 🙂
Yesterday, I spent the day working on a promo film for my new website….it’s coming SOON!!! And what I enjoyed most was talking about this very subject….the JOY and APPRECIATION I have for each and every client I work with. I would like to send a HUGE thanks to Allison Bohl – videographer, Peter DeHart – Sound, and Brian Richard – 2nd Camera for working so hard. I can’t wait to see the final product!!
I seriously cannot remember the last time I was THIS nervous. It was like standing before an audience for a public speech..only worse because what I say is being recorded!!
