Mia and I met in my 1st year of architecture school in the Fall of 2004 and hit it off instantly. We were like two peas in a pod trying to fight our way through design school. Mia continued studying and eventually graduated in interior design and I graduated in architecture. We remained friends and when I started my photography business, Mia + Rob asked me to shoot their wedding on March 6th, 2010!
Now, 2 years later, I am continuing to pursue my passion for wedding photography, and Mia has found her calling in life as well….as a florist. The name of Mia’s business is Root Floral Design. Services include special occasions & weddings/events! <—So, brides if you’re looking for a florist that is DIFFERENT, artistic, and makes good use of color combinations and textures, Root Floral Design it is!
Her background in design really gives her a unique perspective and after having the opportunity to photograph her florals I couldn’t wait to share her talent. She’s hardworking, has an incredible eye…and gets the job done with style. Mia has made it very clear that her goal is to make people happy…to bring a smile to their faces, and to create beautiful and flawless florals for her clients.
For the shoot, we were fortunate to have the participation of Katie Bakes + Val Marie Paper. Both used the color palette and vision for Mia’s florals to create stationary and a wedding cake that suited the shoot.
