Just Because

Just Because. That’s why Victoria contacted me. Everyone should have the opportunity to feel beautiful, to have fun, and to spend some time appreciating their own uniqueness. And that’s exactly what Victoria did. 🙂

We’ve been planning her session for awhile. After a bit of soul-searching and creativity, we drafted the day. Our plan was to capture Victoria’s unique personality and playful attitude. I wanted capture her confidence and bold attitude, feminine nature, and her artistic abilities.

I met Victoria while in Architecture school. Being an industrial design graduate from UL Lafayette, she and I share the understanding of what it feels like to be a “Fletcher Rat” and to spend countless days/weeks/years dedicated to an artistic vision.

A huge thanks to Matt (also a fellow Fletcher Rat) for coming along and for posing as our stage manager. 😉

We started the session with some simple, yet architectural images of Victoria.

I said this countless time during the shoot, but Victoria poses with SUCH ease. She made my job super easy. 🙂

And then we moved into a more natural environment to capture the soft side of her personality.

All of her features compliment each other so well, the color of her hair, her blue eyes, and I LOVE her choice of lipstick. Different, and classy.

And then we spent about 20 minutes playing in the grass……yes, WE. You’ll see at the end of the post. 🙂

These images are so FREE! Victoria and I laughed quite a bit together and I was happy to see her so comfortable and completely herself.

She spent some time during the session exercising her artistic abilities, Which I totally appreciated!!

And we created an environment where she felt most comfortable.

See?! In all the demonstrating that I was doing, I was eventually just as covered in grass as she was! lol..

Victoria, I think this session is such a testament to doing things for YOU. With my new website under development, I am updating my images as well, and I have to admit, it is a ton of fun getting dressed up, having hair and makeup done and just feeling beautiful! 🙂

And you are! You really relaxed and were so laid-back during the session. You were up for anything and I couldn’t respect and love that more!!! Enjoy your sneak preview and you’ll see the rest soon!
