I was never a homebody. In fact, I would find excuses growing up of why I “had” to spend the night at my best friend Ryan’s house. Whether it was a school project, or preparing for homecoming, I found every reason possible!
As I’ve gotten older, I find myself finding more reasons NOT to do things: I’m too tired, I have too much work to do, or I haven’t spent enough time catching up around the house. Am I getting old? Regardless of the reason…I find an excuse. Because that’s what it is.
So every year for the past three years, I’ve pushed myself to attend WPPI and every year I leave with the same feeling of excitement, anticipation for work, and inspiration! I am thankful to have had the chance and I’ve never regretted attending the convention. Not only do I love learning new things …but I also relish in the opportunity to get away and spend time with good friends in a fun atmosphere. You didn’t really think we would ONLY work in Las Vegas did you? 😉
This year is the second year my friend Kaylynn was there; it was also the second time Amelia has came to WPPI with me! I was so stoked that we were able to hangout with Jacqueline Kay and Greer of New Orleans as well!
For this photo below, we made the decision to attend the “Lazers & Blazers” party. Apparantely, it’s “the place to be.” 😉 It was the last of its kind so I’m happy we were able to attend.
However, I’m going to be honest…we were all so exhausted from the week I think each of us found the most enjoyment out of simply relaxing on the big couches outside The Vanity at Hard Rock and visiting. I’m not going to lie, at one point…we stood NEXT to the dance floor and instagrammed the photo…just so we “felt” cool. LOL
I love our silly shot above; it makes me smile. This is an awesome group of women and I feel so thankful to be working in an industry with such talent and truly genuine people.
