Was this the dress you initially thought you’d wear for your wedding?
I did not have any specific vision for my wedding gown. So, when I entered the bridal shop with my mother, grandmother, three aunts, and four cousins I wasn’t sure I would be able to choose a dress. But when I first saw it on the hanger I fell in love with it!
Tell Me About Your Dress! Why did you choose this look?
This was only the third dress I tried on, and right away I knew it was perfect. I LOVE the lace on this dress! It is dainty and unique and feminine. I love how all of the different textures of lace and tulle come together on this dress. Best part … It’s both beautiful and comfortable and easy to wear!
How do you feel when you put on your dress?
… like a beautiful bride! When I put on other dresses I felt like I was playing dress-up. This dress feels like “me” … just a prettied up fancy bridal version of me!
Why did you choose this particular bridal session location?
After asking Catherine for suggestions on locations that would give us a true “Southern Louisiana” feel, she sent over a few suggestions. I immediately fell in love with gardens at the Longue Vue House! It turned out to be the perfect location!
